Brett Schubert is the President and CEO of Monarch Resource Partners. Brett offers leadership and strategic vision, directing a highly capable and accomplished team. He seeks to create enduring value for Monarch’s clients, from large exploration and production companies to smaller family-owned firms. Closely attuned to client objectives, Brett cultivates a long-term perspective that values longevity, continuity, and reliability for clients and employees alike.
Brett founded Monarch in 2021 after spending four years with Pegasus Optimization Managers, where he held a number of roles, ultimately serving as a Vice President of Operations Support. In this capacity, he was instrumental in spurring Pegasus’s growth from a startup organization to a heavyweight in the industry. Earlier in his career, Brett spent two years with CDM Resource Management, where he was a Senior Financial Analyst. He earned his B.S. in Agribusiness from Texas A&M University and his M.B.A. from Sam Houston State University.
Originally from South Texas, Brett now lives in College Station with his wife, Cheyenne, and their young son. He is an active contributor to FFA and 4-H groups, involved with the First Baptist Church of Woodsboro, and founded an education foundation for the Woodsboro Independent School District. Brett is also A ranching enthusiast and owns a small cow/calf operation near his hometown.
Randy Garcia is the Vice President of Operations and leads the operations team at Monarch Resource Partners. He provides hands-on support and mentorship to a team of professionals focused on customer service.
Randy has worked at Monarch Resource Partners since 2021. He began his career in the gas compression industry in 2008 with CDM Resource Management, where he was an Area Manager responsible for South Texas. In 2016, Randy moved to Pegasus Optimization Managers, where he was a Regional Vice President. In this capacity, Randy assembled and grew the Pegasus team in South Texas, West Texas, Oklahoma, and Appalachia into a thriving and robust part of the business. Randy graduated from Universal Technical Institute with an Auto and Diesel Certificate and is a certified Ford technician.
Randy lives in South Texas with his wife, Iris, and their daughter and son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working on restoration projects, and supporting his community.
Kolten Kelley is the Vice President of Sales and leads Monarch’s sales initiatives. He helps to ensure that clients have a turnkey solution that addresses their needs, enhances their productivity, and adds to their profitability. He facilitates the design, implementation, and roll-out of an entirely electric-driven fleet—the first in the gas compression industry and a pioneer in ESG advancement.
Kolten’s approach to his client relationships is consultative and highly customized. Thorough by nature, he works with clients to design a solution that aligns with their distinctive needs, partnering with engineers, as needed, to spearhead a full-service transition from gas to electric, bringing the utility to each client’s location. Above all, Kolten looks to deliver a high-quality, seamless experience – helping clients expand their run time and enjoy greater productivity. He explains, “We take pride in focusing not only on Monarch-owned equipment but also on customer equipment to ensure both parties have a great experience. This approach has helped spur our continuing partnerships and growth.”
Kolten has worked in the oil and gas industry since 2015. Prior to joining Monarch, he served as an Account Manager with Kodiak Gas Services and its predecessor, Pegasus Optimization Managers. He began his career as an Account Manager with CDM Resource Management. Kolten earned his Bachelor’s degree from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene.
Kolten lives in Midland with his wife, Courtney, and their young daughter and son. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and watching any type of competitive sport.
Shane Estes is the Vice President of Business Development & Fleet leads business development at Monarch Resource Partners and directs the design of custom installations. He guides clients in optimizing projects for specific field conditions and ensures efficient solutions for all equipment applications. He draws on more than three decades of experience in the gas compression industry, with expertise in operations, engineering, and sales.
Shane works with new and existing clients to discern their needs relative to Monarch’s innovative suite of capabilities, engineering detailed solutions that align with each client’s business objectives. He also strengthens Monarch’s relationships with midstream companies in all shale plays, identifying the factors that differentiate Monarch, its equipment, and its service ethic.
Shane has worked at Monarch Resource Partners since 2021. He began his career in compression at Guerra Engineering in 1988 and remained with the firm when it was acquired by the Hanover Company in 1991. During this tenure, he gained significant experience in operations, engineering, supply chain, safety, and sales. Subsequently, Shane worked at Gas Services International, Universal Compression, CDM, AG Equipment Company, and Pegasus Optimization Managers in roles that included International Customer Service Manager, Sales/Application Engineer, and Vice President of Sales. Originally from Victoria, Texas, Shane attended Victoria College.
Shane and his wife live in South Texas and have three adult children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, hunting, and fishing. He also has a small ranch and likes to spend time taking care of his animals.
Dwayne Allen is the Chief Financial Officer for Monarch Resource Partners. Dwayne focuses on financial planning, accounting, and the strategic outlook for Monarch, working closely with the firm’s management team, technicians, and board members. He maintains strong relationships with external banking providers, oversees refinements to Monarch’s accounting systems, and evaluates new technologies for possible adoption within the firm.
Dwayne has worked at Monarch since 2022. He draws on more than 28 years of diverse accounting experience and a wealth of knowledge in systems development and organizational processes. Most recently, he served as the Director of Business Solutions at Pegasus Optimization Managers, where he was responsible for developing and managing intercompany systems. Dwayne’s career also includes eight years with CDM Resource Management, where his roles included Director of Accounting and Director of Cost Analysis. He has worked in the gas compression industry since 2008. Dwayne earned his B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Tyler and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dwayne lives in Houston with his wife and kids. In his free time, Dwayne enjoys building cars with his children and watching his daughters play softball.
